WEEKLY EVENT PICKS: 12/18 - CHRISTMAS DAY
Drunk Christmas debauchery, Tijuana bazaars and long anticipated music video shoots. Gearing up towards the end of the year, we collect some of the last events to check out. Don't miss 'em!
BANG BANG PRESENTS
Bang Bang is a special place. It felt like only a few days ago that I was in that nightclub, more than slightly inebriated picking up dollars bills from the ground after some rich white dude made it rain from VIP. That was because it was a few days ago. And you know what? It'll probably happen again, so don't miss out. Plus we got the whole family playing, including the Hickies and Hide & Go Freak crew. Come through.
FEATURING THE TRAVELERS CLUB, HICKIES & DRY HUMPS, HIDE & GO FREAK

MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART SAN DIEGO PRESENTS
DOWNTOWN AFTER SUNDOWN
If you're trying to keep your Thursday night a little more wholesome, artsy and quieter, please be sure to stop by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Downtown San Diego for a night of fine art, fine beer and fine vinyl selections by Barrio Logan's Bob Hernandez.
WHERE: MOCA SD (DOWNTOWN)
If there's three things I love, it's bazaars, Tijuana and seeing Jackie Mendoza play live. If there's four things you should love, it's those three, plus abiding by my recommendations. Take a trip across the border for a nice day out at WTVR's bazaar, including food trucks, live art and music by some of Tijuana and San Diego's best.
FEATURING JACKIE MENDOZA, DANI SHIVERS, MAURA ROSA, SLARES (DJ SET) + MORE

In his inaugural art show in the heart of Barrio Logan, David enlists some of San Diego's premiere photographers and mixed media artists for a focused and story driven experience, complete with help by .US Apparel and In The City Events.

"LEMON GROVE" VIDEO SHOOT
I don't want to say that I had any part in the formulation of this idea whatsoever, but I will say I spoke this into the universe the minute I heard this standout track from Rob $tone's debut and I'm glad as hell that it's actually happening. Spend your Saturday afternoon at the set for undoubtedly the best song ever dedicated to a San Diego neighborhood. It's also directed by Chris Gonzo, so you know the shit's going to be fire.
FEATURING ROB $TONE, MALIK BURGERS
WHERE: NANDO'S TACO SHOP (LEMON GROVE)
HICKIES & DRY HUMPS PRESENTS
BUTTS TA NUTS: MONDI'S BIRTHDAY EDITION (21+)
Our good friend Mondi turned 22 this week and if you ask me, that's the most important birthday of the month, holy even. So to celebrate, our good buds at Hickies & Dry Humps will be dedicating this weekend's Butts ta Nuts event to the birth of the Men 2 Boyz DJ and FWM Radio host. Slide through and celebrate this precious life with us.
FEATURING SAM SEGA, MONDI, DICKHEAD MCGEE, JULZ
WHERE: EL DORADO
X-MAS AFTER PARTY (21+)
If you're anything like me (Mexican), then you know the only thing December 25th means is having to put up with everything being closed, primarily because some people actually find it acceptable to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Day. As a result, I've been googling "Christmas Bars Open" for the past three years and I'm finally glad someones stepping up and making something happen on this barren ass night. Stop by Space Bar in City Heights to catch some heat by Park & Wreck's very own, Tec, a main staple in San Diego's beat scene.
