WEEKEND EVENT PICKS: January 25th-28th
The Warehouse Takeover is finally here, but don't let that be the only event you attend this weekend. We got more pool hall art shows, creative network meet ups and circuit-bending synth swapmeets. Check 'em all out.
MUERTA GABRIELLA PRESENTS
The homegirl Muerta Gabriella is kicking off 2018 with her inaugural art show in Chula Vista this Thurday, including a full bar by The Gentle Penguin and a DJ set by Dom King. Make sure to come through, cop a piece and help encourage this wave of bringing events further into the South Bay, a region very deserving of the festivities.

RAP ON BORDER:
A PUBLIC CONVERSATION
"Participants from Transnational Seminar I, an interdisciplinary effort between students of Southwestern College, Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Tijuana (UABC), and University of California San Diego, will hold a conversation about race, gender, sexuality, and life in general as residents of the borderlands. They will share how their perspectives changed (or did not) after spending 15 weeks as part of a nomadic Art & Ethnography experiment, crisscrossing the U.S./Mexico border, working together to create public interventions and conduct local interviews." DREAMS FOR CHANGE
Anybody who has ever travelled past 10th Ave in Downtown San Diego can attest to the harsh truth that homelessness -- and the city's unwillingness to tackle it head first -- is a rampant issue in San Diego. That's why it's important to support events like these in order to raise funding and awareness for the conflict at hand. With wine tastings, food platings and live entertainment, attendees can contribute and know their money is going somewhere just and right.

Come through to the Air Conditioned Lounge off 30th and bring your gear, admire the beauty of others and go wild with circuit-bending joy.
