VICTORIA MARTINEZ AND GABRIEL LOZANO PRESENTS

COLOR THEORY CLUB

Organized at the Space4Art gallery in East Village, Color Theory Club is a music, art and poetry event presented by Victoria Martinez and Gabriel Lozano. If there's anything that I feel needs to be promoted more in the San Diego scene, it's definitely incorporating creative writing (poetry, especially) into the forefront of these music and art events. Many of our favorite artists are also showing work, so don't miss out on this special event.

BOB HERNANDEZ PRESENTS

ART CARTS PROJECT

You should go to this event for many reasons: 1) Bob Hernandez is a staple in San Diego and his boombox-laden cart is just as iconic 2) Our good homie and supremely talented producer Abjo is playing 3) Have you ever seen Chollas Creekside Park? It's really one of San Diego's hidden treasures. Anyways, come through this Saturday afternoon for what is to be a beautiful event, including live screen printing and DJ workshops. Bob Hernandez is a man of the people and this event proves it.

Our homie Jonathan Rodriguez is one of the most talented street photographers in the city and we're very stoked for him to finally have his own photo exhibition. Better yet, a photo exhibition at one of our favorite spaces, the 3192 Gallery. Featuring oldies and slow jams from DJ's curated by the artist, as well as a zine release by Rodriguez, the Crossing Out show is guaranteed to be more than worthy of your time. Don't miss out, hoe.

SD ZINE FEST PRESENTS

BOAN, HXXS, ADIOS MUNDO CRUEL (21+)

The San Diego Zine Fest is, bar none, one of the most important art events of the year. An event at that scale, however, comes with a price and contrary to popular belief, it isn't easy (or cheap) to organize something of that magnitude. That's why it's important you come through to this event, an official SD Zine Fest fundraising show featuring music from avant garde and forwards thinking artists like BOAN and HXXS. Not many places in San Diego can you find innovative live music like this, especially with the proceeds going to a great organization. Spend your Sunday with us, we promise that it's worth it.
