Preview of 'Maclib' and other unreleased Madlib projects debut at Travelers Club event
We always tell y’all that you won’t wanna miss our big shows, and now everyone who was in attendance at our Madlib show last Saturday knows exactly why.
During a DJ set that played more like an hour long unreleased gem playlist, Madlib debuted never-before-heard tracks from projects including Black Star, Freddie Gibbs, Talib Kweli solo work, Pusha T, and the fabled Maclib album itself.
Of course, in classic Madlib fashion, as each song ended the legendary producer made sure to finish with a “You’ll never hear this shit again” warning.
The live debut preview of the 'Maclib' track, a 35 second snippet co-produced Thundercat, came as a particular gem for all who've been eagerly awaiting signs of the album since Theolonious Martin leaked news of its existence in January.
